SPACE INSIGHT SCIENTIST ATTENDS 33RD IADC MEETING AS CHAIR OF MEASUREMENTS WORKING GROUP

Space Insight scientist Phil Herridge recently took part in the Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee's 33rd Meeting (Houston, Texas, USA), his first attendance as chair of the IADC Measurements Working Group.

The IADC is an international governmental forum for the worldwide coordination of activities related to the issues of man-made and natural debris in space. The primary purposes of the IADC are to exchange information on space debris research activities between member space agencies, to facilitate opportunities for cooperation in space debris research, to review the progress of ongoing cooperative activities, and to identify debris mitigation options.

Space Insight scientists have formed part of the United Kingdom delegation to the IADC every year since the Company's formation, and Phil Herridge is the second one to chair the Measurements Working Group. James Dick held this post 2005 / 2006.
